Our story goes back five years, to when a young couple in love decided to plan their own beautiful and charming wedding. They found planning tools on their own, and were blessed with the help of friends, church resources, and a few helping hands from the florist and the caterer. They succeeded, and their day was rich with wonderful memories. One thing they wanted most of all, but couldn’t find, was a wedding website that would allow them to share these memories - their story and wedding photographs – with family and friends. ..

Rusty and Beth Abston had an idea to solve the problem of what the wedding industry could not provide: with teamwork, a background in web development and superb design and organizational skills, they would create their own personal wedding website as a way to save and share the memories of their magical day.

They didn’t expect the wedding industry to come to them, but it did: one of the friends they shared their website with happened to have many years of experience as an event planner. The Abston’s paths changed forever when this personal friend asked them to mass-produce this wonderful idea: the wedding website.

They did, and it was a favorite with both wedding consultants and with couples. The wedding website tool then grew into a consultant’s management tool, with unique features developed over time from clients’ suggestions and requests. The more that Rusty and Beth discovered about the wedding industry, the more they could insert that knowledge – and experience – into the powerful design of the industry-specific management tool that is WedPro.

Now, five years stronger, WedPro has evolved into an all-in-one web-based management solution for both high-level wedding industry experts (like the Wyndham and the Marriott) and for independent wedding planners (like you). With customer feedback and with their own observations of how the tool added simplicity and convenience to the wedding consultant’s many-layered duties, the Abstons succeeded in creating an all-inclusive tool that answers to those needs first realized during their own wedding preparations.

Rusty and Beth recognized that the demand for WedPro’s unique combination of ease and capability was much higher than they were prepared for. Their desire to take the management tool to a new level within the global wedding market meant they needed additional support.

In 2010, three partners joined together with the Abstons, and all had the same goal in mind: to share a great solution with great people. They all felt that the wedding and event professional deserved the opportunity to manage their businesses with the ease and flexibility that WedPro has made available.
